2016.015: Friday Favorites

Hello!

I’m linking up with the DC area bloggers Mar at Mar on the Run, Cynthia at You Signed Up For What?! and Courtney at Eat Pray Run DC for the Friday Five linkup. This week’s topic is “favorites.” There are so many directions that you can go with this. The possibilities are really endless.

I’ll have to give credit where credit is due here and thank Daniel for idea behind this post. We are going to share our favorite C.S. Lewis quotes. Many of you may know, but C.S. Lewis was an Irish writer and scholar best known for his ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ series and his Christian books.

I hope you like those quotes as much as we do! Tell me. What is your favorite quote (by C.S. Lewis or anyone)?

  1. My favorite of these is the next to the last about humility not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less. Music to the ears of someone who wrestles with low self esteem. Thanks for sharing. Your blogs are such an encouragement and inspiration to me. Thanks for your help Daniel! Great idea.

  2. I like all of these! I hadn’t read the fourth quote before. Thank you for sharing! It was kind of like a light bulb moment when I read it. So many people get confused with the concept of humility. There’s a fine line between self hate and humility. The key is to put others before yourself. Wise words from the man Lewis! I’ll say that last one is one of my favorites! 😉
